    Does SpaBooker integrate with my existing spa software solution?
    SpaBooker is a complete, stand alone spa management solution. It is a replacement for any existing desktop based software that your spa may be running. SpaBooker runs through an internet browser so there is nothing for you to install or maintain.     Can I import all of my current customers in to SpaBooker?
    Your SpaBooker coordination team can easily import your existing customer database. As long as you are able to export your customers out of your existing solution, we will be able to import them. Additionally, SpaBooker can also import all of your existing Gift Certificates, Products and (soon) appointments. Basically, if you are able to export the data out of your system in CSV, XML or any other common file format, we should be able to import it.

    Do I have to switch Merchant Card Processors to use SpaBooker?
    Before SpaFinder started the SpaBooker project, we polled hundreds of day spas in our program. One of our questions was "How much are you paying for credit card processing?" We found out that many spas, especially the ones with less than $700,000 a year in credit card receipts were overpaying by as much as 2.0% on their credit card rates.     How much work will our tech-person be required to do to get up and running with SpaBooker?
    You're in luck, with regards to your tech person, s/he will not have to do much. Since SpaBooker is a completely hosted system, there is no software to install, which means that our implementation team will be doing all the heavy lifting for you. It is always smart to have your tech person take part in the SpaBooker web training (provided free as part of your implementation process). If your tech person is also your web master you will want him/her to install your booking engine on your website (as easy as adding a link), but that should be it.

    If I decide to go ahead with SpaBooker, how will we implement the system and how fast can we have it place?
    In order to implement your spa onto SpaBooker, we will send you a implementation document which will ask for all the basic information about your spa. Such as rooms, treatments, equipment, employees, etc... One of our Implementation Specialists will then input all of your information into the system (at no charge to you). Once everything is configured and your new credit card processing account is setup, we will schedule a web training session.

    Once your team is trained, you will be ready to go live with SpaBooker. How soon your spa is up and running is completely dependant on how quickly we receive the completed implemenation document. For the typical spa we can have you up and running within a day or two of receiving your completed implementation document. During this whole process you will be assigned a dedicated implementation coordinator to guide you through the entire process, always just a call or email away.

    How safe is it to put my spa's information online - is SpaBooker a secured site?
    SpaBooker was built from the ground up with our customer's data security first and foremost in our minds. The entire private SpaBooker site utilizes SSL 128bit security with Verisign issued certificates. Additionally, the entire SpaBooker system has been architected utilizing a redundant n-tier structure.

    What this means to you is that SpaBooker allows you to negate the issue of having a single point of failure. We have heard from a number of businesses that have lost all of their client data because of a common hard drive crash. Since all of your spa's data is mirrored across multiple servers at SpaBooker, and all of that data is in turn backed up to magnetic tape multiple times per week, your data is secure.

    Do SpaFinder gift certificate/card marketing fees still apply?
    If your client uses a SpaFinder gift certificate/card to pay for a treatment , normal SpaFinder marketing fees apply - however no SpaBooker transaction fees will be accrued.

    Do I need a specific type of computer or other hardware to use SpaBooker?
    One of the wonderful aspects of SpaBooker is that it's Operating System (OS) independent. Since there is no software to install, you can run SpaBooker on a Mac, on Windows, and even Linux. The only restriction is that you have to use Mozilla FireFox 2+ (our preferred browser which works with every popular OS) or Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or 7 (Windows only). That's it, Even our barcode scanner and magnetic stripe reader require no software installation. How's that for easy?
