Front End Web Application Developer
SpaFinder, Inc., the leading spa lifestyle, marketing, travel and media company is seeking a Front End Web Application Developer to join our SpaBooker technology team. In this position, you will participate in the design, development and maintenance of the SpaBooker SaaS application. This position is especially suitable for developers with 4-6 years of experience looking to expand their skill-set and gain experience with cutting-edge technologies.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, including the ability to work well with others. We are looking for self-starters who thrive on new challenges and have the ability to successfully apply past experience to master new tech. In addition to technical and creative savvy, candidates must be motivated, energetic, and success-driven. Our environment is fast-paced and dynamic, and the ideal candidate must possess the same attributes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Incredible coding skills. Your coworkers describe you as the "fixer”. Your programming ability is way above average, as demonstrated by a continuous string of successful projects
- 3+ years experience developing with JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, CSS
- 5+ years overall programming experience (.Net or C# would be nice)
- Working knowledge of AJAX, Flex/Flash, and SVN
- Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong initiative
- Great communication skills
- Good creative eye
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop / other image editing software
- This position is full time in our office in New York City
Nice to Haves:
- Knowledge of JQuery and JS toolkits like Prototype, Scriptalicious and others
- Passion for web technologies
- Experience with SQL
